A victim of authoritative concert shutdown

I’m not a big Prince fan, but stuff like this kinda riles me up:

Cops Tell Prince to End Concert

I don’t like to see concerts shut down by authorities, but Prince didn’t even take the stage til after 2pm. You’re just asking to get shut down when that happens in my opinion. Oh well.

After reading this I was reminded of a concert at Playmakers Pavilion in Fargo, where I was watching Six Feet Under perform an incredibly heavy set. Six Feet Under were the headliners. While they were playing their last song of the night, which they actually vocally announced as their last song of the night, the Playmakers staff TURNED THE LIGHTS ON in the venue. It was only half way through the final song. I thought that was pretty disrespectful. That’s about the last thing you want to do during a death metal concert, turning the venue lights on during the last song. That’s lame. I could also tell that Chris Barnes was pissed.

Good stuff Mainerd.
