I've hade the same problem, it says it is connected, but the internet doesn't work except for the browser. It may be the router but I'm not sure.

While I really like a bodily keyboard, after coping with the Samsung Captivate for roughly 15 minutes, it's arduous to go back. At the moment I'm debating whether to go to Verizon for the Droid X, move to Dash for the EVO, or stick with AT&T for the Captivate...selections, decisions.

Hmm, this is actually something that I've not run into - it seems like when my wifi works, all my Internet related stuff works, and when it doesn't nothing does

Recently I loaded a different ROM onto my Droid called Bugless Beast and ever since I've loaded this, I've had no wifi problems. I know it's not the most convenient thing, to hack a droid and load a new ROM, but it appears to be working fine on my phone now with Bugless Beast 1.1
